A Season of Change

As seen in the Winter/Spring 2017 Norbertine Center for Spirituality program guide

Dear Friends,

As some of you may or may not know, my ministry here at St. Norbert Abbey will be changing within the next few months.

I’ll be moving out of the Norbertine Center for Spirituality and assisting with the vocation and formation candidacy process for future Norbertines, as well as working more formally with an expanding abbey communications department.

While I look forward to this new chapter and its opportunities, I also know I will miss so many aspects of this wonderful place—especially the people who frequent it. Simply put, my faith has grown because of you; your lives give witness to the goodness of God.

I also know you will be in exceptional hands—one of the reasons I can let go (which is never easy for me). The current staff, including Tony, Kathie, Ann, Sr. Judy, and Lori, are tremendously faith-filled, committed to excellence, and dear friends of mine. Bless you all and thank you for your friendship and support throughout the years.

Judy Turba

There are certain people who are never replaced. Judy Turba is one such person! Her infectious smile, amazing creativity, and dedication to the Norbertine charism are irreplaceable.

Judy will continue to serve the Norbertine community in her communications role, and will certainly have an influence on the publications you receive.

Her contributions to offerings she initiated can also be seen throughout this program guide, such as our upcoming Day for Men—featuring John Schneider, General Manager of the Seattle Seahawks, and Bishop David Ricken of the Diocese of Green Bay—and our Morning of Spiritual Renewal for Women filled with extraordinary speakers.

So, it is with heavy hearts that we see Judy move on to other adventures. We know that it is not goodbye; but rather, until we see her again in the halls of the abbey … or at the ice cream machine to get that scrumptious chocolate cone, whichever comes first! Blessings, you amazing woman!
