God gives us many gifts
for our common home
which stretches all the way
to the stars and beyond
the colors and beauty and bounty
of trees and flowers and plants
to nourish both body and soul
the variety of creatures great and small
some to amaze and amuse us
some to aid and fill our needs
the waters to sustain us
the skies to shower us
with warmth and inspiration
He links us with one another
united yet unique
so together we can love and treasure
all His gifts
with care. concern, and creativity
for their growing fragility
in faith and gratitude
now and always
