Best Lecture and Breakfast Series: A Poet in Your Pocket

with Most Rev. Robert F. Morneau, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Green Bay

The Norbertine Center for Spirituality is pleased to announce the establishment of a new speakers series supported by Mary Lamm, in loving memory of her husband Joseph. In this series, compelling lecturers offer a presentation they love to give, and participants hear the best of the best.

The second president of our country, John Adams, held this conviction: “You will never be alone with a poet in your pocket.” This favorite lecture will focus on the work of three poets who have spent some time in Bishop Bob’s pocket: Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and George Herbert. Poetry offers encounter and accompaniment—two great graces of life.
