Canon John O. Bruce Memorial Organ Concert: Jonathan Ryan

For the first concert of its 2016-2017 season, St. Norbert Abbey’s Canon John O. Bruce Memorial Organ Concert Series presents organist Jonathan Ryan. The concert is open to the public and is a free will offering.

About the Organist

Jonathan Ryan

Passionate about conducting, performing, teaching, and sacred music, Jonathan Ryan has traveled the United States and Europe, winning numerous awards and recognition for his musical talent.

He began playing the organ at a young age and earned a Bachelor of Music degree with academic honors from the Cleveland Institute of Music, as well as a Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music. Ryan also holds the highest-ranking professional certification from the American Guild of Organists and their Choirmaster certificate.

Ryan currently serves as associate director of music at an episcopal church in Greenwich, Connecticut, as well as a member of the faculty, principal organist, and a conductor for the Church Music Association of America and their annual summer colloquiums.

Ryan is represented by Karen McFarlane Artists.
