Many Ways to Pray

I believe that God wants a personal relationship, an adult friendship, with each of us and that prayer is the best way of engaging that friendship. – William A. Barry, SJ

In his book, Praying the Truth, Fr. William Barry defines prayer as “…what occurs when I am conscious in some way of God’s presence.” Explore a variety of prayer forms including Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, and the Welcoming Prayer. Experience prayer as art, song, and movement. Simply be with God—all on the beautiful grounds of St. Norbert Abbey.
