Prophets, Poets, and the Contemplative Life
Prophets and poets, ancient and new, see the world and God in the world with particular clarity. They hear the cries of the world with especially sensitive ears. They experience the wonder and terror of the world in all its beauty and horror. Contemplative life and practice are intended to fine-tune our perception of the world and the living One who is ever present in it.
In this evening presentation we will listen to the voices of ancient and contemporary poets and prophets and engage in some simple contemplative practices together in order to nurture the eyes and ears of our hearts.
