Stories from the Graveyard: Celebrating Norbertines from the Past 2019
There are more than 170 gravestones in the cemetery at St. Norbert Abbey. That means there are more than 170 unique stories of gifted members of the Norbertine community in De Pere dating back to 1898. If gravestones could talk, what stories would be heard?
This program will examine the lives of several Norbertine fathers and brothers from the past 120 years in a moving way—literally! Participants will hear the history of the abbey cemetery, but then a procession to the actual grave sites will bring the stories alive. If
gravestones could talk … these actually will!
