Stories from the Graveyard: Celebrating Norbertines from the Past

There are more than 170 gravestones in the cemetery at St. Norbert Abbey. That means there are more than 170 unique stories of gifted members of the Norbertine community in De Pere dating back to 1898. If gravestones could talk, what stories would be heard? This program, led by Fr. David Komatz, O. Praem., will examine the lives of three Norbertine priests from the past 120 years in a moving way—literally! Fr. Stan Joppe, O. Praem., Fr. Rene Petit, O. Praem., and Fr. Andy Micke, O. Praem., will be the focus of storytelling and memories. Participants will hear the history of the abbey cemetery, but then a procession to the actual grave sites will bring the stories alive!

Please note: dress appropriately for the weather.
