September 24-26, 2021 Sensing the Sacred: A Weekend Retreat With Fr. James Neilson, O. Praem.
“Spirituality rightly understood is aliveness.”-Br. David Stendl-Rast
Allow your senses to fully come alive in this weekend retreat led by Fr. James Neilson. Enter into the rhythm of St. Norbert Abbey; marvel at the abbey’s stained-glass windows, music, and art; view rarely-seen artifacts and liturgical pieces; and enjoy the tranquility of the abbey grounds.
This retreat includes five presentations by Fr. Neilson, opportunities to join the Norbertine community in prayer, time for reflection, delicious meals, and experiences that engage all the senses. Walking shoes recommended for those wishing to walk the labyrinth and trails. After Mass on Sunday, join us for a special blessing of newly- commissioned and award-winning art in the St. Norbert Conference room.
Fr. James Neilson is a member of the Norbertine Community of De Pere and Associate Professor of Art at St. Norbert College. Currently, Fr. Neilson serves as the Special Assistant to the President for Mission at St. Norbert College. His delightful, engaging presentations make him an immensely popular retreat leader.
