Abbeymoot 2026

Presenters: Amanda Seyer and the St. Norbert Abbey staff

Come join us for a weekend celebrating God’s truth, beauty, and goodness through the creative arts. It’s a prayerful celebration of all things creative (art, writing, music, crafts) and how our acts of creation and enjoying others’ creations unite us to Christ. If you love creating, have found God in the pages of a book or the brushstrokes of a painting, this is the retreat for you!

Wondering what an “Abbeymoot” is? Well, friend, a “moot” is a gathering. You might recall a notable moot, an Entmoot, from Lord of the Rings. This weekend is a gathering to celebrate the creative arts: writing, music, literature, art, crafting of all sorts … and how those acts of creation and enjoying others’ creations unite us to our Creator. If that sounds like your cup of tea, this is the weekend for you. The weekend will have virtual presentations from the Rabbit Room’s Housemoot, live presentations, times for prayer, and lots of time for community building. We’ll enjoy each other’s company over good food, grow closer to Christ, and renew our souls.

Pondering if this weekend might be for you? Feel free to call 920-337-4312 and ask any questions you have!

The retreat begins at 4 p.m. on October 30 and concludes at 2 p.m. on November 1.

Single registration cost: $400 (includes Abbeymoot registration for 1 person, 1 single occupancy retreat guest room and private bathroom, meals for 1 person)

Double registration cost: $700 (includes Abbeymoot registration for 2 people, 1 double occupancy retreat guest room and private bathroom, meals for 2 people)

Scholarships are available.
